Global Equipment Company Inc. and its affiliates or subsidiary companies (collectively, the "Company", "we", "us", or "our") own and operate the Career Section of our website at careers.globalindustrial.com (our "Career Site"). We appreciate your interest in job and career opportunities at our Company. This Candidate Privacy Notice ("Privacy Notice") is applicable to all "personal information" which has been or will be collected from you during your use of our Career Site.
What is considered personal information may differ based on the particular data privacy laws where you reside, however, it generally refers to information that can directly or indirectly be associated with or used to identify or contact an individual or, in some cases, an individual’s household. Personal information does not include data that is anonymized or de-identified. Under certain data privacy laws, personal information does not include publicly available information.
Your Consent
By accessing our Career Site, you are indicating your agreement to our Company handling your personal information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Notice. You also agree that this Privacy Notice will be drafted in English.
Personal Information We Collect
This Privacy Notice covers any personal information you submit through our Career Site as part of the job application, job search, or on-boarding process, including:
- Your name, address, email address, telephone number, or other contact information;
- Your resume, cover letter, application, previous work experience, and education information;
- The position(s) for which you wish to be considered, desired salary, willingness to relocate, and other job preferences;
- Prior employers, dates of employment, positions held and/or job titles;
- Name and contact information of your references (it being solely your responsibility to obtain consent from references before providing their personal information);
- Your professional and other work-related licenses and certifications held;
- Information about your device and/or website activity on or in connection with our Career Site (please see our main Website Privacy Policy for further information); and/or
- Any other personal information that you provide during the job search, application, or interview process with our Company.
We may also receive the following categories of personal information from other sources:
- Where permitted by law, background check data from third-party providers, which may potentially include your criminal history records;
- Information concerning your prior employment, including (where permitted by applicable law) compensation and your educational and academic degrees, from recruiters, employment agencies, publicly available sources, public pages of social media websites, former employers and/or educational institutions; and
- Information provided by references that you provide.
In addition, if you apply for a position in the United States, or in another country that requires or permits such voluntary data collections, you will have the opportunity to provide personal information about your gender, race/ethnic origin and/or veteran status in order for us to conduct required Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or a comparable government agency ("EEOC") monitoring and reporting. If you decline to provide this personal information, your application(s) will not be affected in any way. If you choose to provide this personal information, you consent to our using it for EEOC monitoring and reporting purposes and to share such information with applicable governmental authorities to the extent permitted under applicable law. This personal information will be held and stored anonymously and will not be used to evaluate your application for a position with us.
Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
By accessing our Career Site, you acknowledge and agree that:
- To the extent permitted by law, our Company is authorized to collect, use, access, transmit, store, process, and disclose the personal information it obtains through your use of our Career Site, including but not limited to the personal information you submit in connection with your job application, and/or any other personal information that is provided to us or is otherwise collected by us pursuant to the job application process. If you are applying for a position with our Company from outside the United States, the personal information that we collect about you in the recruitment process may be transferred to, and stored on, our servers, located in the United States.
- Our Company will use your personal information to (i) process your application; (ii) assess your capabilities and job qualification; (iii) conduct reference checks; (iv) communicate with you; (v) comply with any applicable law or regulation; (vi) conduct background checks (only with your prior consent); and (vii) any other actions necessary or applicable in connection with your application, hire, employment, or contractual relationship.

- Our Company may retain your personal information as long as necessary and appropriate to comply with applicable legal standards. Once the personal information is submitted, you cannot later delete this personal information if the personal information must be retained in our records pursuant to legal or compliance requirements. If you are offered a position with our Company, this personal information may be transferred into our human resources system and used to manage the new hire process. If you become an associate, any personal information you submit may become part of your associate file and may be used for other employment/work-related purposes. Your personal information will be destroyed in accordance with our Company's document retention policy.
- Except as otherwise provided by this Privacy Notice or as required by law, our Company associates, recruiters, human resources staff, managers and their designees, lawyers, auditors, professional advisors, consultants, affiliates, subsidiaries, and/or other service providers associated with our Company who have a need to know your personal information or other data to fulfill the purposes contemplated in this Privacy Notice, including those who are involved in the process of considering job applications, IT support and storage, and website administration or maintenance, will be the only individuals or entities with access to your personal information.
- Any employment or contract offer that may result from your submitting personal information in response to a job opening listed on this Career Site is in accordance with the specific terms of that offer. Nothing on our Career Site shall be construed as a contract of employment or as a guarantee of continued employment or employment for any specific duration.
- This Privacy Notice may not apply with respect to personal information already in our Company’s possession, such as personal information obtained by our Company in connection with your current or former employment at our Company, or information that is publicly available to our Company.
Business Transfer
Our Company may transfer or assign any candidate’s information, including personal information, to the extent it is owned, under the control of, or received by our Company, in connection with a merger, divestiture, stock sale, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of our Company’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding. We will use contractual clauses to ensure that your personal information is used and disclosed for the purposes for which it was collected and will be subject to the appropriate safeguards.
Data Security and Protection
We employ 128-bit encryption technology in all areas of our Career Site which require you to provide your personal information. The Career Site utilizes industry-standard firewalls and Transport Layer Security ("TLS") technology to allow for the encryption of potentially sensitive personal information, such as your name, address, and email address. The safety and security of your personal information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Career Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. You should recognize, however, that no computer system is fully secure and that there are inherent risks associated with transmitting information over the Internet. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to or through our Career Site. Any transmission of personal information online is done at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on our Career Site. Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you reside, you may have certain rights or choices that allow you to make requests with respect to how your personal information is handled (subject to applicable legal exceptions), including rights or choices to:

- Access a copy of your personal information;
- Delete your personal information (unless a legal exception applies);
- Correct your personal information;
- Opt-out of the sale of your personal information or any sharing of your personal information for purposes of targeted advertising based on your browsing behavior before and after you visit or use the Career Site (if applicable);

- Submit an appeal to a regulatory authority if we reject your request; and/or

Information for Canadian Residents
Global Industrial will process your personal information either pursuant to your consent (which may be express or implied) or where permitted under Canadian privacy laws, as applicable. If you choose to provide personal information to us, we will assume that you have implicitly consented to the processing of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
We are permitted to collect, use, and/or disclose your personal information without your consent in the following instances:
- The collection is clearly in your interests and consent cannot be obtained in a timely way;
- When consent would compromise the availability or the accuracy of the personal information and the collection, use, and/or disclosure is reasonable for purposes related to investigating a breach of an agreement or a contravention of the laws of Canada or a province;
- When the personal information is contained in a witness statement and the collection, use, and/or disclosure of the personal information is necessary to assess, process or settle an insurance claim;
- The personal information was produced by you in the course of your employment, business or professional relationship with us, and the collection, use, and/or disclosure is consistent with the purposes for which the personal information was produced;
- The personal information is publicly available as defined under Canadian regulations, such as data in a public telephone directory, data in a professional or business directory, listing or notice that is available to the public, data in a registry where a right of public access is required by law, data in public court records, and data in a printed or electronic/online publication where you voluntarily made your personal information available to the publication;
- The personal information is used for the purpose of acting in an emergency that threatens the life, health, or security of an individual;
- When the collection, use, or disclosure of the personal information is required by law; and/or
- The personal information is disclosed to another party for a purpose permitted under Canadian privacy law.
If we are required to obtain your consent, we will provide you with full details of the personal information that we would like and the reason we need it, so that you can carefully consider whether you wish to grant your consent. You should be aware that your consent is voluntary, and it is not a condition of applying for a position with us that you agree to any request for consent from us. Also, please note that you can revoke your consent at any time for any processing activities where your consent is required. Yet, if you fail to provide certain personal information when requested and consent is not required, we may not be able to fully process your job application.
How to Exercise Your Rights
If you would like to exercise any of the rights described in the "Privacy Rights and Choices" section, above, please send a request to our Data Protection Officer at data.protection@globalindustrial.com. In your message, please indicate the right you would like to exercise and the personal information to which it relates. We will ask you for additional information to confirm your identity and for security purposes before disclosing any personal information requested to you. We will not fulfill your request if we are not able to verify your identity. We reserve the right to charge a fee where permitted by law, for instance if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. We will not always be able to fully address your request if, for example, it would affect the duty of confidentiality we owe to others, or if we are legally entitled to deal with the request in a different way.
Deletion Requests
Please also note that, with respect to deletion requests, we may not be able to ensure or guarantee complete and comprehensive removal of your personal information in all places and for all purposes. For example, we may not be able to fulfill your request due to federal or state laws or our internal policies may require maintenance of your personal information in our records. Please note that if the deletion request relates to personal information that we need to consider you for an open position with us, you may not be able to move forward with the job application process.

Updates To This Privacy Notice
We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we collect new types of personal information, use personal information beyond what is disclosed in this Privacy Notice, or make material changes to how we treat your personal information, we will notify you through a message on the Career Site home page, and if required by law, we will obtain your consent. Any changes will be immediately incorporated into this Privacy Notice and will be prospective only. We will not make any changes that have retroactive effect unless legally required to do so.
Your continued use of the Career Site after any changes are made to this Privacy Notice constitutes your acceptance of the changes. Global Industrial's Candidate Privacy Notice for California Residents

This Candidate Privacy Notice for California Residents ("CCPA Notice") supplements the information contained in our main Candidate Privacy Notice for Global Equipment Company Inc. and its affiliates or subsidiaries (collectively, "Global Industrial", "Company", "we", or "us" or "our"), and applies solely to our job applicants and candidates who reside in the State of California ("candidates", "you" or "your"). This CCPA Notice is provided to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA") as it is amended from time to time. Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this CCPA Notice.
Information We Collect
We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or household ("personal information"). Personal information does not include:
- Publicly available information.
- Deidentified or aggregated information.
- Information excluded from the CCPA's scope, like:
- health or medical information covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA") and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act ("CMIA"), clinical trial data, or other qualifying research data; and
- personal information covered by certain industry-specific privacy laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ("GLBA"), California Financial Information Privacy Act ("FIPA"), and the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act of 1994.
As described in the table below, we have collected the following categories of personal information from our candidates within the last twelve (12) months. Please note that not all categories or specific types of personal information described below will be collected or processed for every candidate and our data collection practices may vary based on how far you progress in the application process and what information you choose to provide to us.

Purposes for which We Use or Disclose Personal Information
In the last twelve (12) months, we may have used or disclosed your personal information for one or more of the purposes described in the "Use and Disclosure of Personal Information" section of our main Candidate Privacy Notice.
We will not collect additional categories of personal information or use the personal information we collected for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing notice to you.
Disclosures of Personal Information
We may disclose your personal information to a third party for a business purpose. When we disclose personal information for a business purpose, we enter into a contract with that party that describes the purpose of the data sharing, requires the recipient to keep the personal information confidential, and prohibits the recipient from using the disclosed information for any purpose except to perform its obligations under the contract.
In the preceding twelve (12) months, Global Industrial has disclosed the following categories of personal information for a business purpose:

CCPA Disclosures
Data Retention Period: Over the past 12 months we have retained your personal information in accordance with the retention timeframes noted in the "Use and Disclosure of Personal Information" section in our main Candidate Privacy Notice.
Selling and/or Sharing of Personal Information for Targeted Advertising: In the preceding twelve (12) months, Global Industrial has not sold personal information connected to any personal information you have provided to us or that we have collected pursuant to our job application process.
However, with respect to the device and website activity data we collect when you interact with our Career Site, we used certain third-party online analytics and advertising providers which may have access to your IP address and online activity information for purposes of sending you targeted advertising based on your browsing behavior on our Career Site and elsewhere online. As a California resident, such access may be considered "Selling" or "Sharing" your personal information under the CCPA. Please see our main Website Privacy Policy for more information on how our Company shares personal information for targeted advertising purposes. If you wish to opt out of sharing for targeted advertising purposes, please click on our "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" button on our homepage and fill out the information requested in the opt out form.
Sensitive Personal Information Processing Activities: Over the past 12 months, we did not use or disclose your sensitive personal information for purposes of inferring characteristics about you in any way that would grant you a right to limit such use or sharing.
Profling / Automated Decisionmaking Activities: Over the past 12 months, we did not use automated decisionmaking tools to conduct profiling activities or make decisions about you based on your personal information.
Notice of Financial Incentive: Over the past 12 months, we did not provide you or other candidates with a financial incentive under the CCPA in exchange for collecting, using, or disclosing any personal information.
Your Rights and Choices
The CCPA provides California residents with specific rights to make requests regarding their personal information. This section describes your rights to make certain requests under the CCPA and explains how to exercise those rights.
Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Once we receive and verify your identity or authority to make the applicable privacy request, we will disclose to you as required under applicable law (and subject to relevant legal exceptions):
- The categories of personal information we collected about you.
- The sources from which the personal information was collected.
- Our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling that personal information.
- The categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information.
- The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you and the right to receive such information in a transmittable format (also called a data portability request).
- Two separate lists including the following information, to the extent we sold, shared (for targeted advertising), or disclosed your personal information for a business purpose:
- sales activities, identifying the personal information categories that each category of recipient purchased; and
- disclosures for a business purpose, identifying the personal information categories that each category of recipient obtained.
Right to Correct or Modify Personal Information: You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete personal information which we have collected from you and retain, subject to certain exceptions. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable privacy request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception applies that allows or requires us to retain your personal information.
For example, we may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service provider(s) to:
- Take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you or to perform our contract with you;
- Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities;
- Debug products to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality;
- Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another individual to exercise their free speech rights, or exercise another right provided for by law;
- Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code § 1546 et. seq.);
- Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with a candidate’s expectations based on your relationship with us;
- Comply with a legal obligation; or
- Make other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it.
Right of Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any rights related to your personal information under the CCPA.
Exercising Your Rights: To exercise your rights under the CCPA, please follow the instructions in the "How to Exercise Your Rights" section in our main Candidate Privacy Notice. Please note that you may only make a verifiable privacy request for access or data portability twice within a 12-month period. We will acknowledge receipt of your request within ten (10) business days and endeavor to respond to a verifiable privacy request within forty-five (45) days of receipt. If we require more time (up to another forty-five (45) days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. We will deliver our written response by mail or electronically. Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding the verifiable privacy request's receipt. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily usable and should allow you to transmit your personal information from one entity to another entity without hindrance. We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable privacy request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.

We reserve the right to amend this CCPA Notice at our discretion and at any time as may be described in the "Updates To This Privacy Notice" section in our main Candidate Privacy Notice.
