Global Industrial

Corporate Overview

At Global Industrial, we’re driven by a code of integrity, a strong work ethic, and a culture that embraces innovation. For over 75 years, we’ve cultivated a collaborative workplace that supports professional growth and creative ideas across our operations, including our corporate, distribution, and marketing teams.

We’re seeking a Commercial Product Photographer to join our Buford, GA distribution center and help us tell the story of our products and people. You’ll play a vital role in capturing high-quality photography and video content that supports our e-commerce platform, print publications, and brand marketing campaigns.
This role is perfect for a digital content creator who is not only creative and technically skilled, but also genuinely curious about how things are made, fascinated by the nuts and bolts of industrial products, and eager to understand how our equipment and supplies are used across industries every day.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You’re a hands-on creative with a strong technical foundation in photography, lighting and editing. You’re just as comfortable setting up cameras, lights and retouching imagery, as you are running an in-house studio space that doubles as a workshop and staging area. You thrive in dynamic environments, and your curiosity about how things are made drives you to showcase not just what a product looks like—but how it works, why it matters, and the industries that rely on it every day.

What You’ll Do

  • Shoot professional-quality product & lifestyle hero photography for e-commerce, print, digital, and marketing use.
  • Set up controlled studio shots using white seamless backgrounds.
Stage and capture hero and lifestyle images with warehouse personnel on the active distribution center floor.
  • Take direction and collaborate with Creative Directors & Art Directors to produce on-brand, e-commerce and marketing visual media that aligns with required style and aesthetics.
  • Collaborate & work closely with our on-site Digital Media Specialist to produce product video content productions that often run parallel to photo shoots.
  • Manage lighting, composition, and styling to ensure brand consistency across product lines.
Retouch and edit imagery using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge).
  • Organize, catalog, tag and publish assets to various digital asset libraries & servers.
Schedule and coordinate assistance from a small but experienced freelance/temp worker network, familiar with productions at our Buford, GA distribution center.
  • Hire & grow the temporary support network as needed, based on the size and scope of assigned projects.
  • Safely lift, move, and stage merchandise weighing 50 lbs or more for shoots.
  • Receive training and certification to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport merchandise around the facility to shooting areas.
  • Navigate the facility using a company-provided warehouse vehicle to access different shoot locations and front office team.
  • Remain hands-on and comfortable using various hand and power tools to assemble, stage, or adjust merchandise and sets for photo and video shoots.
  • Occasionally adjust schedule and shoot times for large projects (such as catalog covers or group product shots), including shooting in warehouse locations during the second shift (3:30–9:00 PM) when the floor is less busy.
  • Be on call to capture and photograph employee events, associate studio headshots, and team group photos as needed.
  • Work within a studio space that is consistently organized, maintained, and upgraded as needed with cameras, lighting, grip, support equipment and expendables to ensure best-in-class results.

Why Join Global Industrial?

  • Become a key visual storyteller for a trusted industrial brand.
  • Blend creative studio work with dynamic, on-floor industrial shoots.
  • Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art, and Digital Media teams to expand into both photography and video storytelling.
  • Opportunity to also contribute to company culture by capturing people, events, headshots, and team photography.
  • Be part of a supportive culture that values innovation, safety, and professional growth.

Competencies and skills

  • Proven experience in commercial, product, or studio photography (portfolio required).
  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Cloud photo apps; especially Photoshop, Lightroom, and Bridge.
  • Deep understanding of studio and on-location lighting, composition, and workflow best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce both e-commerce and hero lifestyle photography.
  • Familiarity with video production workflows & eagerness to collaborate on video projects.
  • Physically capable of routinely staging and transporting heavy products and photo gear (with material handling equipment) (50+ lbs).
  • Comfortable with hand and power tools for assembly, staging, or adjustments.
Flexible and adaptable to schedule changes or off-shift projects as deadlines require.
  • A naturally curious mindset, with a fascination for how products are made, how equipment functions, and what industries depend on them, bringing that curiosity into the storytelling of product photography.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Fully on-site at our Buford, GA distribution center.
  • Frequent lifting and handling of products and equipment weighing 50+ lbs.
  • Certification in and operation of forklifts and material-handling equipment (training provided).
  • Combination of studio-based and warehouse-floor photography & video projects.
  • Occasional evening/second-shift shoots for large-scale projects.
  • Access to a dedicated studio space and warehouse vehicle for logistics.
  • Studio/Workshop and equipment environment periodically upgraded with professional gear.
