Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 


•    The broad range of technical responsibilities includes all interior and exterior elements such as but not limited to: electrical power systems, mechanical systems, lighting systems, plumbing systems, fire protection and safety systems.
•    Assures compliance are in line with Code compliance (city, county, state, and OSHA) and keeps abreast of changes/updates.
•    Project management of renovation projects of various kinds. 
•    Compose time lines for new store openings and remodeling projects.
•    Responsible for the Merchandising which involves receiving product from the warehouse, assures the store is receiving properly, uses Plan-o-grams given to set-up the store or for remodeling certain sections of a store. 
•    Attains business licenses, permits (Certificates of Occupancy, Certificates of Use etc.).
•    Locate Contractors for New stores and oversees projects being handled.
•    Coordinate with Loss Prevention and IT on Issues and new locations.
•    Ability to build product displays and signs.
•    Evaluates energy conservation measures as well as short-term and long-term facility improvements in accordance with the PRL Master Plan. 
•    Round the clock 24/7 Facilities Management Emergency Services to the Retail Store Fleet.
•    Compliance with environmental and compliance standards in all of our facilities. 
•    Considers impact of social and economic trends across the facility and integrates that knowledge as a key factor when making business decisions.
•    Translates and communicates business strategies into measurable operational plans. 
•    Makes effective business decisions acknowledging all financial implications as the internal and external environment. 

Competencies and skills

Qualifications: 

•    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Engineering or related field.
•    Appropriate Certification in Facilities Management is preferred.
•    Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in planning, organizing, and directing the facilities management work consisting of engineering and/or maintenance trades which demonstrates the ability to independently perform the wide range of complex and responsible management and technical assignments associated with facilities administration preferably in a small and medium sized retail environment. 
•    Must be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures within the Facilities Management field.
•    Demonstrated ability to interpret and ensure compliance with all local regulations concerning environmental protection, fire and electrical underwriter codes, safety boiler and pressure vessel codes and other codes and regulations which may apply. 
•    Demonstrated ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints and contract documents. 
•    Demonstrated ability to plan and administer complex projects, including budget and contract administration, all in accordance with programmatic and financial requirements and applicable statutes, regulations, and policies. 
•    Leadership and team motivation skills. 
•    Ability to work independently in a high stress, multiple task environments. 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
•    Basic proficiency with programs such as MS Office, primarily Word and Excel and related programs. 
•    Ability to read architectural drawings and lay out a store, building all gondolas, wall fixtures, TV racks, tech benches, and pallet racking. 
•    Ability to travel at frequent intervals and work extended hours as needed.
•    Must be able to work extended hours as needed.
