Key Responsibilities

An Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) manages and maintains Oracle databases, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and data integrity. This involves tasks like installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle software, creating and managing users, monitoring performance, optimizing security, and handling backups and data recovery. They also troubleshoot database-related issues and contribute to continuous improvement of the database environment.
Responsibilities:
•    Oracle Cloud Database Administration:  Oracle RDBMS (including container and pluggable databases), Exadata, Data Guard, Oracle Database Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager, RMAN, and Oracle Wallet.
•    Oracle Goldengate Administration:  Experience with Oracle GoldenGate Replication (classic and integrated architectures).
•    Oracle Standby Database Administration:  Experience with Oracle Data Guard to create and manage standby databases to ensure high availability, data protection, and disaster recovery for enterprise data.
•    Performance Tuning:  Good knowledges and understands in query analysis.  Utilizing performance tuning tools and monitoring solutions to identify and resolve performance issues.
•    Shell Scripting: Using shell scripting to automate database tasks and processes.
•    Collaboration with Other Teams: Working with other DBAs, developers and end users to understand their needs and ensure database requirements are met.
•    International and Dynamic Environment: Experience working in a dynamic, international setting, with the flexibility to handle a 40-hours workweek, 24x7 standby shifts, and weekend deployments.

Competencies and skills

SQL and PL/SQL Programming: Writing and executing SQL queries and PL/SQL stored procedures.
