Key Responsibilities

The CEX Distribution Center Associate operates within a given distribution center and serves as a boots on the ground point of contact for all communications between the Operations and Customer Experience departments. In the capacity as a liaison, this person will be responsible for tracking down information, physical products, or documents to help expediently resolve customer issues.

•    Electronically capturing copies of all carrier BOLs (especially those tied to customer carrier shipments)
•    Locating paper copies of shipping documentation when required
•    Checking locations for correct items, missing parts/pieces, UOM issues
•    Will call and collect shipment verifications (is this still in the DC?)
•    Requests to add additional packaging
•    Special shipment requests such as assembling a non-assembled item
•    Making sure all returns are logged into PCS the day they are returned
•    Anything coming to the CS Warehouse Issues email box from the distribution center
•    Special circumstance cancellations
•    Obtaining additional images required for issuing freight claim
•    Additional responsibilities as assigned

Competencies and skills

•    Knowledge of Global Industrial distribution center logistic procedures and protocol
•    Solid email communication skills – this role will communicate directly with associates from customer service, sales, the distribution center, and on occasion directly with customers
•    Good skills working with a computer – will need to email, navigate and update PCS, and research information in High Jump
•    Ability to capture digital images via a camera and scanner, and upload files for distribution
•    Ability to multi-task and provide quick responses to escalated issues
•    Strong ability to actively work, notate, and provide updates on multiple requests
•    Comfortable working in a distribution center environment – on the floor, with temperature variations, and around material handling equipment
•    Ability to remain focused and actively working while being managed from a remote location
•    Able to lift 40 lbs
