Key Responsibilities

The Product Operations Lead, will maintain a cross-functional role to support successful collaboration among all teams connected to the product life cycle e.g. the people who are building the product—private label development managers, import operations, warehouse safety, purchasing and category managers, as well as sales and customer support.  Your role is critical in streamlining communication between private label teams and overseas suppliers as well as maintaining standardized business processes associated with vendor onboarding and product costing.  You will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing vendor and product data, and compliance requirements to help the private label team make informed decisions.
•    Facilitate clear communication to keep teams well-informed, documentation, and systems up to date. Control intake of product data to support business decisions and order placement.
•    Effectively handle repetitive processes to keep team at its best performance. Monitor and action change related to product cost, MOQ’s, freight rates, lead time, HTS no., and duty.
•    Maintain consistent communication and develop partnerships with overseas suppliers to distribute and collect essential documents
•    Prepare reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to inform the team and support supply chain transparency e.g. vendor code of conduct and factory compliance
•    Support product marketing and sales go-to-market strategies and improve the customer experience e.g. facilitate large order requests for pricing, availability, container loading, and lead time.

Competencies and skills

•    A Bachelor’s degree in related field along with a minimum of 5 years of product operations experience necessary
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Proven success working in an operations position centered around import product
•    Experience in diligently maintaining procedures to support data integrity and strong analytical skill set (correlating disparate data and cleaning data)
•    Excellent project and time management skills
•    Ability to communicate complex ideas in an easy-to-understand manner
